About Spartan Flight Academy

Spartan Flight Academy is an FAA Part 141 and Part 61 airplane flight school and fixed-base operator at Grand Prairie Municipal Airport in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The academy provides training for the Private Pilot certificate, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot certificate, Multi-Engine Rating and flight-instructor qualifications. Students train in Cessna and Piper aircraft, including glass-cockpit airplanes, with a Redbird FMX simulator supporting procedures and maneuver practice.

The Grand Prairie facility also provides access to fueling, maintenance and flight-planning resources. Spartan Education Group acquired Aviator Air Flight School in October 2025 and rebranded the operation as Spartan Flight Academy.
