Community College of Allegheny County offers an Aviation Technology Associate of Science program that prepares students for FAA commercial pilot single- and multi-engine land certification with an instrument rating. Flight instruction is completed through a CCAC-approved, FAA- and Veterans Administration-certified Part 141 fixed-base operator, while college courses cover aerodynamics, aircraft systems, navigation, meteorology and regulations.

CCAC also offers an Aviation Management A.S. focused on airline, airport and corporate-flight operations, marketing, administration, crew management and safety.
