About Eastern Michigan University
Eastern Michigan University Aviation offers bachelor's programs in Aviation Flight Technology and Aviation Management Technology. The flight degree combines university coursework with contracted training through Crosswinds Aviation at Willow Run, Howell, Pontiac and Flint, and its approved Part 141 instrument and commercial curriculum supports the reduced-hour restricted-ATP pathway.
The flight sequence covers private pilot, instrument, commercial, multi-engine, CFI, CFII and MEI preparation. Aviation Management students study airport and airline operations, safety, regulation and cooperative education, with an FAA aircraft-dispatch specialization available through dedicated weather, aircraft-systems and dispatch courses. The obsolete Eagle Flight Centre reference and personal contact have been replaced with the current Crosswinds partnership and EMU Aviation program office details.
