Guilford Technical Community College

Guilford Technical Community College operates three aviation facilities beside Piedmont Triad International Airport. Its programs cover Career Pilot, Aviation Systems Technology, Aviation Electronics, Aviation Management, aircraft structures and repair, composites, non-destructive testing, aerospace manufacturing and related short-term workforce training.

The FAA Part 147 Aviation Systems Technology pathway uses aircraft, a helicopter and system trainers to prepare students for Airframe and Powerplant certification through associate, diploma and certificate options. Career Pilot combines private, instrument and commercial ground instruction with required FAA Commercial Pilot certification completed through third-party flight training, while the primary Career Pilot and Aviation Management building includes four full-motion simulators. The address has been cleaned to the actual Career Pilot facility and a current general college email replaces the unverified personal contact.
