About Monmouth Area Flying Club

Monmouth Area Flying Club is a nonprofit, non-equity flying club based at Lakewood Airport in New Jersey.

Student pilots may join the club and receive instruction from certified flight instructors within the membership. Members can pursue primary training, proficiency work and additional ratings in club aircraft.

The current fleet includes four Cessna 172 models and a Diamond DA40, with conventional and glass-panel avionics represented. The organization began in 1985 as the successor to the Fort Monmouth Army Flying Club and has operated entirely from Lakewood Airport since 2002.
