Sacramento City College

Sacramento City College provides a broad group of aviation degree, certificate and technical-training pathways.

Professional Pilot students complete college ground courses and Private, Instrument and Commercial flight labs at partner flight schools. Flight Technology offers the corresponding academic ground instruction without college-operated flight training. The FAA-authorized Part 65 Aircraft Dispatcher program prepares students for the dispatcher written and practical examinations.

Separate Air Traffic Control degrees include an Enhanced AT-CTI pathway. At the college's McClellan Hangar, the FAA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Technician program offers Airframe, Powerplant and combined A&P degrees and certificates using training assets that include a stationary Boeing 727. Remote-pilot ground and hands-on multirotor and fixed-wing UAS courses add drone operations training.
