Minnesota State University, Mankato's Aviation program offers an AABI-accredited B.S. with Professional Flight, Aviation Management and Unmanned Aircraft Systems emphases. Related options include Private Flight, Professional Flight and Aeronautics minors and a fully online M.S. in Aviation Safety.

Professional Flight students complete year-round training at Mankato Regional Airport through North Star Aviation, the university's exclusive flight-lab provider. The sequence covers Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial and multi-engine training, and eligible graduates can pursue FAA restricted-ATP certification with reduced flight-hour requirements.
