San Diego Christian College

San Diego Christian College offers a Bachelor of Science in Aviation combining a Christian liberal-arts curriculum with professional flight training at Gillespie Field.

The degree develops the knowledge and flight proficiency for Private Pilot, Instrument Rating and Commercial single- and multi-engine qualifications. Its Commercial concentration adds commercial flight maneuvers, CFI training, turbine-engine systems and aviation management; a Military concentration combines instructor training, security, management and leadership studies.

Students also study aviation weather, safety, law, physiology, aircraft systems and unmanned-aircraft fundamentals. The current catalog identifies approved Part 61 or Part 141 flight delivery and coursework that can support Restricted ATP eligibility at the applicable 1,000- or 1,250-hour threshold.
