About Southern Seaplanes

Southern Seaplane is a long-established seaplane operator and flight school at its private seaplane base in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

The school offers FAA Part 141 and Part 61 Private and Commercial single-engine seaplane add-on courses. Training uses varied South Louisiana waterways for normal, confined-area, glassy-water and rough-water operations, and an FAA designated pilot examiner is available on site. The instructors also fly the company's Part 135 charter operations.

For rated seaplane pilots, the Part 141 Seaplane Safety Institute provides a structured recurrent course combining aircraft-specific ground study, underwater-egress training and flight training.
