University of Nebraska at Omaha Aviation Institute offers a Bachelor of Science in Aviation with concentrations in Professional Flight, Air Transport Administration and Uncrewed Aircraft Systems.
The Professional Flight concentration combines university aviation coursework with Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, multi-engine and CFI training conducted through Revv Aviation at Council Bluffs Municipal Airport and Oracle Aviation at Millard Airport. The curriculum is authorized for qualifying graduates to pursue the FAA's reduced-hour Restricted ATP pathway.
Air Transport Administration covers airline, airport, government and general-aviation operations and is accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International. The UAS concentration develops hands-on skills in uncrewed-aircraft flight, mission planning, sensors, data and operational management. Founded in 1990, the institute also operates an advanced simulation facility on the UNO campus.
