About Gateway Skydiving Center

Gateway Skydiving Center is an active drop zone at Greenville Airport in Illinois, approximately 45 minutes east of St. Louis.

First-time participants begin with instructor-led tandem skydives. Students who want to become licensed complete three tandem jumps before entering the center's Accelerated Freefall sequence; its published A-license progression continues through seven AFF levels, five coached jumps, supervised solo jumps and an A-license check dive for 25 total jumps.

Gateway marked its 14th operating season in 2026 and reports introducing more than 15,000 first-time tandem students.
