About Mid-America Sport Parachute Club

Mid-America Sport Parachute Club is an active weekend drop zone at Taylorville Municipal Airport in central Illinois.

First-time participants can make a tandem skydive from approximately 10,000 feet with a USPA-certified instructor. Students who want to become licensed begin with an all-day First Jump Course and Instructor-Assisted Deployment jumps, initially exiting around 4,500 feet while the instructor deploys the parachute and ground staff provide radio guidance.

The club continues training through coached and solo jumps and opens selected off-season weekends for licensed skydivers.
