About Spokane Community College
Spokane Community College operates its two-year, FAA-approved Aviation Maintenance Technology program from the college's hangar at Felts Field.
Students learn to inspect, service and repair airplanes and helicopters while working with aircraft structures, engines, hydraulics, electrical wiring, flight instruments and other systems. Graduates of the full program are eligible to take FAA mechanic examinations for both Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
SCC offers an Associate in Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology plus certificates in General Aircraft Maintenance, Airframe Maintenance, Powerplant Maintenance and AMT Avionics.
