Burlington Technical Center - Aviation & Aerospace Technology

Burlington Technical Center offers secondary and post-secondary Aviation and Aerospace Technology programs in Vermont. Its post-secondary course is an FAA-certified Part 147 aviation-maintenance program for students working toward the FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.

The curriculum covers aircraft assembly and rigging, sheet-metal and composite work, avionics, inspections, and turbine and piston-engine maintenance. Students divide their time between classroom instruction and hands-on work in the hangar on airplanes and helicopters.

The secondary Aviation and Aerospace Technology course serves as the prerequisite for the post-secondary program. Graduates can also apply their Burlington Technical Center training toward an Aviation Maintenance Technology associate degree through the school's pathway with Vermont State University.
