About Crosswinds Aviation

Crosswinds Aviation provides structured airplane training from its Howell base at Livingston County Spencer J. Hardy Airport and locations at Pontiac, Flint, Willow Run and Lansing. Its zero-to-career pathway covers private pilot, instrument, commercial, multi-engine, CFI and CFII ratings, with discovery flights and recurrent instruction also available.

The rental and training fleet includes Diamond DA20 and DA40 aircraft, glass-cockpit Cessna 172s and Redbird/Frasca simulators. Crosswinds supports a four-year Eastern Michigan University aviation pathway and high-school flight programs in addition to individual Part 61 courses. The record now uses the general school email, complete airport name and the previously omitted commercial certificate.
