About Delta State University
Delta State University's Division of Commercial Aviation offers undergraduate and graduate aviation education in Cleveland, Mississippi. The Bachelor of Commercial Aviation in Flight Operations combines academics with Part 141 private, instrument, commercial single- and multi-engine, CFI, CFII and MEI training at Cleveland Municipal Airport. Eligible graduates can qualify for the FAA Restricted ATP pathway at 1,000 or 1,250 total hours.
Additional programs include BCA and BAS aviation-management degrees, concentrations in air traffic control, airport operations, aviation security, logistics and unmanned aerial systems, and an online Master of Commercial Aviation. A separate eight-month Aerial Applicator Pilot Training Certificate serves qualified private pilots. Training resources include single- and multi-engine aircraft, simulators, two hangars, an academic building and an FAA knowledge-testing center. The missing MEI pathway and current Flight Operations phone have been added.
