Farmingdale State College Aviation

Farmingdale State College Aviation operates its 22,000-square-foot Aviation Flight Center near Republic Airport and owns a fleet of 17 aircraft supported by advanced aviation training devices. The accredited Aeronautical Science – Professional Pilot bachelor's program combines college coursework with FAA Part 141 training for private pilot, instrument, commercial, CFI and an optional multi-engine rating. Eligible graduates receive the college endorsement for a restricted ATP certificate.

The department also offers a B.S. in Aviation Administration, an Air Traffic Management partnership within the FAA's Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative, an aviation-flight minor and a drone pilot certification course.
