Gateway Technical College

Gateway Technical College offers a 61-credit Associate of Applied Science in Aeronautics - Pilot Training at the Horizon Center beside Kenosha Regional Airport. The FAA Part 141 program combines college coursework with aircraft and simulator training and prepares students for private pilot certification, an airplane instrument rating, and commercial single- and multi-engine land certificates.

Students train with flight simulators, GPS equipment and advanced avionics, and the program uses a priority-placement process for its high-demand flight courses. The prior profile overstated CFI, CFII and MEI credentials that are not listed in the current 2025-26 program outcomes; those ratings have been removed, and the former personal staff email has been replaced by the college's admissions address.
