Kitty Hawk Kites Hang Gliding School

Kitty Hawk Kites Hang Gliding School has taught on North Carolina's Outer Banks since 1974. Beginner dune lessons take place on the soft sand at Jockey's Ridge State Park, while tandem aerotow flights operate from the Cotton Gin site in Jarvisburg.

The current curriculum includes introductory lessons, private instruction, advanced beginner work toward a USHPA Hang 1 rating, accelerated Hang 2 training, tandem aerotow, and solo-tow progression. The school also maintains a roster of experienced hang-gliding and tandem instructors.
