Memphis Soaring Society

Memphis Soaring Society is an all-volunteer soaring club operating from its grass gliderport at Lawrence Field in Cherry Valley, Arkansas. Club instructors provide lessons at their discretion, with duty instructors normally assigned on Saturdays from April through October for members working toward glider certificates or returning to proficiency.

Newcomers can use a one-day demonstration-flight membership or a three-flight introductory membership that combines a ground-school and simulator session with flights conducted by a certificated glider instructor. Full, youth, college, temporary and visiting membership options support continued training and access to club aircraft.

The Mid-South Soaring Foundation offers youth training support and an instructor scholarship for members progressing through Commercial and CFIG qualifications. The listing now uses the club's current published call-or-text contact and removes an obsolete personal military email.
