About Skydive Taft
Skydive Taft is a skydiving center at Taft-Kern County Airport that has served Southern California for more than 20 years.
First-time participants can make instructor-attached tandem skydives. Students pursuing independent skydiving can enter the Accelerated Freefall program, beginning with a four- to six-hour ground course and jumps supervised by two instructors before progressing through seven instructional levels.
After AFF, continuing coaching supports progression toward a USPA A License. The airport drop zone also accommodates experienced jumpers and provides on-site spectator, camping and basic shower facilities.
