Southern Arkansas University Tech, commonly known as SAU Tech, operates its Aviation Maintenance Technology school at Camden Municipal Airport-Harrell Field.

The FAA Part 147 curriculum begins with General maintenance subjects and then branches into Airframe and Powerplant training. Students can earn a General Aviation Maintenance certificate of proficiency, an Airframe certificate, a Powerplant technical certificate or an Associate of Applied Science that combines both maintenance areas with general education.

Coursework covers aircraft structures, inspection and assembly, electrical systems, hydraulics, reciprocating and turbine engines, ignition, propellers and powerplant systems. The program prepares students for FAA Airframe and Powerplant mechanic certification testing; it is an aircraft-maintenance program rather than pilot flight training.
