About Tampa Bay Soaring Society
Tampa Bay Soaring Society is a member-run soaring club based at Zephyrhills Municipal Airport.
Student glider pilots train with club instructors after joining, while current members have access to the club's sailplanes and aerotow operation. The club requires flying members to hold Soaring Society of America membership and uses a checkout and approval system for its aircraft.
TBSS also offers public guest soaring rides. Flying, rides and instruction are available throughout the year on the club's regular Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday operating days when conditions permit.
