About Texas Southern University

Texas Southern University offers a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Science Management with a Professional Pilot concentration.

The FAA Part 141 curriculum includes Private Pilot, Instrument and Commercial training, followed by either a Certified Flight Instructor track with CFI and CFII courses or a Commercial Multi-Engine track. Eligible graduates can qualify for a restricted ATP certificate at 1,000 flight hours.

Flight operations are based at TSU's new Ellington Airport facility at Houston Spaceport, which houses the university's 12 Cirrus SR20 training aircraft along with classrooms and offices. Academic aviation coursework continues through the university's College of Science, Engineering and Technology.
