About University Of Maryland Eastern Shore

University of Maryland Eastern Shore Department of Aviation Sciences offers Maryland's public four-year professional-pilot degree pathway along with aviation management and maintenance programs.

The Restricted ATP-approved Professional Pilot concentration combines academic and flight training through Commercial Pilot with Airplane Single-Engine Land and Instrument ratings and Flight Instructor certification. The Aviation Management concentration covers airport, airline, flight-operations, safety and business subjects.

UMES also operates an FAA Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician program developed with Piedmont Airlines and Salisbury-Wicomico County Regional Airport. Students can pursue Airframe and Powerplant upper-division certificates and a bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance Management.
