The FAA air traffic control system is a huge network of people and equipment that ensures the safe operation of private and commercial aircraft all over the world. Requirements for becoming an FAA Air Traffic Controller with no prior experience:
- Graduate from an FAA approved AT-CTI Program (one of the schools above)
- Receive an official school recommendation
- You must ba a United States Citizen
- Be less than 31 years old, in most cases
- Must be able to pass a rigid medical examination
- Pass a security investigation
- Have a bachelor's degree or 3 years of progressively responsible work experience.
- Attain a score of 70 or better on the FAA Pre-Employment Test
- Speak English Clearly so you can be understood over the radio
- Complete an interview
