Thinking about how you’re going to finance your flight training? Financing your flight training is really not that hard.  You have a couple of financing options.  First check with the flight school that you will be attending and see if they have any type of flight training financing or flight training loans available.  If not, you have a couple of options listed below. 

  1. You can try AOPA Flight Training Funds Program: offered by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. 
  2. Pilot Finance Inc:  A flight training financing company.
  3. SallieMae Career Training Loans: The career training loan is a private, credit-based student loan for technical training or trade school, online courses, and other continuing education programs.
  4. Why not find a free grant.  The nice part about getting a grant is that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY IT BACK!  ITS FREE MONEY!!!
  5. You can also use a credit card for your flight training.  Sometimes your credit card will have a better rate then the flight training financing companies.
  6. You can also check your local bank to see if you can get a personal loan.
