Avfuel’s current scholarship portfolio provides ten awards across flight training, technician education, continuing education, and the AVTRIP community. The 2026 programs combine six $5,000 partner awards with four Avfuel-funded scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,000.
Who can apply
The Sheltair and Avfuel program covers learning to fly or advanced ratings, aviation technicians, and continuing education. The AVTRIP award requires current AVTRIP membership. Pilot-in-Training awards serve students pursuing aviation education or a new license.
What the award may cover
Funds may support flight lessons, ratings, aviation degree study, maintenance or technician coursework, mechanic inspection authorization, CAM preparation, upset recovery, and approved continuing education.
How to apply
Select the correct Avfuel program and use its online form. Six $5,000 Future Takes Flight applications are due August 31; AVTRIP and Pilot-in-Training applications are due October 31.

Selection and application notes
Avfuel and partner representatives review completed applications and may invite semifinalists to an interview. Funds must be used for the approved education purpose within the stated period.
