Description
Centre québécois de formation aéronautique (CQFA) is the Cégep de Chicoutimi's specialized aviation campus at Saint-Honoré Aerodrome.
Its three-year Pilotage d'aéronefs college program offers three specializations: multi-engine instrument airline flying, bush and seaplane flying, and helicopter flying. The airline stream leads to a Commercial Pilot Licence with night, multi-engine and instrument qualifications; the bush stream combines commercial training with floatplane operations; and the helicopter stream uses turbine helicopters.
Students train with a fleet of more than 20 airplanes and helicopters and use flight laboratories that include a Boeing 737-800 simulator.
