Cypress Soaring Glider Club

Cypress Soaring Glider Club is a nonprofit organization founded in 1969 to teach and promote soaring. The club is now based at Hemet-Ryan Airport in Hemet, California—not Hollister—and provides member instruction with FAA-certificated instructors, training gliders and aerotow support.

Training progresses from introductory and primary instruction through solo flight and the private pilot glider certificate, with opportunities for advanced cross-country and high-altitude soaring. The club fleet listed on its current site includes Krosno, PW-6 and Grob two-seat gliders, SGS 1-34 and Discus B single-seat sailplanes, and a Cessna 182 towplane. Regular and reduced-cost junior memberships are available. The obsolete Hollister address, phone and personal email have been removed.
