Description
Fliegerclub Weisse Möwe Wels operates an ATO and DTO flight school at Wels Airfield in Upper Austria.
Motor-flight training includes the PPL(A), night VFR and touring motor-glider qualifications, aviation radio courses, and differences training for tailwheel, retractable-gear and variable-pitch-propeller aircraft. The school uses DA20, PA-28 and SF-25 aircraft for its motor-flight programs.
The glider school provides theoretical and practical training for the sailplane pilot licence, including winch-launched instruction. The club was founded in 1949; its glider school began in 1950 and its powered-flight school followed in 1959.
