Description

FlyTexas is a free-flight and weight-shift-control school based at Granite Shoals/Bob Sylvester Airpark northwest of Austin. Its pilot course combines ground school with flight instruction for committed hang-glider and paraglider students, while two-seat trikes are used for introductory flights and powered climbs followed by glide-down experiences.

The operation has taught in Central Texas for more than 40 years and also organizes flying in Valle de Bravo, Mexico. The listing's former downtown Austin coordinates and Austin-Bergstrom Airport association were unrelated to the current training base and have been replaced with the official Granite Shoals location, direct email and correct school types.
