About Northern Lights College

Northern Lights College operates aircraft-maintenance education from its Dawson Creek Aerospace Centre, a 2,230-square-metre hangar with 15 fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters used for practical training.

The four-semester, 1,820-hour Aircraft Maintenance Technician diploma covers airframes, piston and turbine engines, electrical and avionics systems, inspections, regulations, troubleshooting and extensive practical projects. The program holds Transport Canada Basic M accreditation and Canadian Armed Forces certification equivalency.

Licensed engineers and graduates of approved Basic M programs can take Transport Canada-approved field-maintenance type courses for specific helicopter airframes and engines, including Bell, Allison and Lycoming products. The current domestic-student contact and college taxonomy replace the empty location-only profile.
