OSM Aviation Academy - Västerås

OSM Aviation Academy - Västerås is the current identity of the former Scandinavian Aviation Academy location at Stockholm Västerås Airport.

The academy's Airline Ready program combines theory and flying over approximately 20 to 24 months and leads to EASA and FAA Commercial Pilot, multi-engine and instrument qualifications. The current program is international: students complete training phases in the United States and at Arendal, Norway, while OSM continues to identify Västerås as its Swedish base for candidates, ground-school activity and instructor operations.

The Västerås base hosted a recent pilot open day with introductory Cessna 172 flights. OSM traces its pilot and airline training activity to 1963; its current public program is airplane-focused, so the unsupported helicopter category has been removed.
