About Parkland College Institute of Aviation

Parkland College Institute of Aviation is an FAA Part 141 and Restricted ATP-approved collegiate flight program at University of Illinois Willard Airport.

The associate degree sequence includes Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial and Multi-Engine training. Advanced courses provide CFI and instrument-instructor preparation, while separate basic and advanced Unmanned Aircraft Systems certificates cover commercial-drone ground school, flight and data collection.

The institute traces its lineage to the University of Illinois aviation school founded in 1946. Parkland assumed ownership and opened the transferred program for fall 2014, continuing instruction with aircraft, simulators and facilities at Willard Airport.
