Description

Sligo Aero Club is a member flying club and Irish Aviation Authority-listed Declared Training Organisation at Sligo Airport in Strandhill.

The club provides flight and ground training toward the EASA Private Pilot Licence. Its fleet includes a Cessna 152 used for primary instruction and an IFR-equipped Cessna 172, while licensed members can fly club aircraft under its membership arrangements.

Introductory instruction flights are available through 30-, 45- and 60-minute gift vouchers. The present club traces its history to the Sligo North West Aero Club formed in 1975 and has operated at Strandhill since 1978.
