WSU Tech (formerly Wichita Area Technical College) manages the National Center for Aviation Training and is affiliated with Wichita State University while remaining a separate degree-granting institution.
AMT prepares students in about 18 months for FAA A&P exams with AAS and airframe/powerplant/general certificates, taught by instructors with deep OEM/MRO experience. Professional Pilot AAS covers five FAA certifications/ratings through CFI.
UAS technical certificates and extensive aerospace manufacturing programs (avionics, composites, sheet metal, NDT, coatings) connect students to Wichita’s global aviation cluster employers.
