Description

College of the North Atlantic delivers its Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technician program on campus in Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador. The program covers inspection, troubleshooting and repair of fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, including aircraft systems, avionics, structures, powerplants, ground handling and airworthiness work.

The program is accredited by Transport Canada as meeting basic-training requirements for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence categories M1, M2 and E. Graduates must also complete the required industry experience and regulatory examination steps before qualifying for an AME licence. The Gander campus also offers an Aircraft Structural Repair Technician program.
